Blizzard!

I too have been caught up in a whirlwind of snow!  It's weird to think that my hometown (NYC) got more snow than we did in the mountains.  Still, the ground is covered, and there was quite a bit of digging out to do.

Lovely Things

A few things that made me smile today...long eyelashes, a model's smile (so rare), and this lovely Jimmy Choo clutch (if I owned this I may never need another clutch in my life!)

Glasses

Sorry for the lack of posts...work has been CRAZY!!  Well I have been without eyeglasses for a while now, and since I am legally blind I think it is about time I get a back up for my contacts.  I found a website via Calivintage, and I am psyched.  $95 for frames and lenses!!  I am there.  So here is a pic that I created with their virtual try on tool.  So awesome, I believe these are the ones!

And a pic of some really amazing sunglasses. Love, love, love!

Christmas Tree

We finally went and got our Christmas tree!  This is something I look forward to all year.  We got bundled up and walked to the nearest tree vendor to choose the perfect one.  This is so much different from going upstate, where you choose from a Christmas tree forest and cut it down yourself.  It is magical either way.  My fellow and I came home, made cocktails, and decorated it with my great grandmother's vintage brooches and clip on earrings.  Finally a use for them other than stringing them awkwardly around my neck on a chain.  I can't belive she used to wear them on her ears!! Ouch!  I also got some red and white bakery string from Anthropologie to use as garland, and a pretty felt flower from Nepal for the topper.  Here is the finished product:
