The rest of Tokyo

I was in Tokyo this month for work visiting stores and getting a general idea of fashion trends that are happening in Japan right now.  It was cool to a see a culture that really embraces individuality when it come to fashion.  There were so many different styles, and somehow all seemed to work.

Tokyo as a city is extremely clean, very friendly, and just a pleasure overall.  I got to visit several different areas including an ancient shrine where we were able to cleanse ourselves from toxins, and bring good luck to our future.  That was probably one of the best parts of the trip.  The other great part was trying so many new foods!  You really have to embrace Japanese cuisine there, otherwise you would starve.  I loved how every restaurant had fake examples outside of their door to show you what they were serving.  I think my favorite thing was the hot soba noodles.  So good.  I would definitely recommend going if you ever have the chance!

First Up? Miami!

Oh my goodness!  March was a complete whirlwind that went by in a flash!  There has been so much going on that I have hardly been able to catch my breath, hence the silence around here.  Yes, I was in Tokyo (more pics to come) but before that I was in Miami.  I absolutely adored it there!  The architecture, the crystal clear ocean, and the windy nights...I'm pretty sure I could pick up and move there in an instant.  Mike and I were there for three days, and then rented a convertible and drove to visit his mom in Orlando.  Everything about the trip was great, and I didn't really want it to end. 

Tokyo!

I arrived in Tokyo yesterday for fashion Week, and am in awe of the city already.  It is bustling all the time and is an odd mix of quaint streets and uber urban chaos.  I'll keep you posted on what else I find, as I have 6 days of hard work and exploring to do!

Weekend Wonders (Lazy Edition)

I was extremely lazy last week about blogging and taking pictures.  However I did manage to clean out my wardrobe, get rid of three garbage bags of clothes, and create the blueberry cashew smoothie you see above.  Zeppelin couldn't get enough of it!  I'm headed to Miami this week so hopefully I can get some pics with the change of scenery.  I'm really over winter coats!
