Motha's day

Without my motha I don't know where I would be.  She is the kindest and most selfless soul that I have ever come across, and has taught me to embrace good people, good moments, and good things.  She taught me that you catch more flies with honey, and that being a good person is what matters above all.  The bond I have with my mom is the most important thing in my life, and I'd be lost without her.  Happy Motha's day Motha...you are loved to the moon!!!!!!!

Spending Hiatus

So I have decided to cease spending money on things I don't need, and oh how this pains me!!  For some this is their daily mindset: if it's not necessary than don't buy it.  For me I see endless possibilities with new clothes, shoes, accessories, etc... that could perk up my life in some way.  I genuinely love shopping as a way to pass time and soothe my nerves.  No matter how often I do it, it always feels like a special treat.  With this said I need to reel in my spending, and the only way for me to do this is to stop going into stores where I know I may find something I "have to have."  With that said, I can't help but see many nice things while browsing blogs and the interwebs sooo I plan to post them here in hopes that this could be a virtual closet for me to look back on.  I have set a 3 month goal...we'll see how I do.

Style Rut

Hello again friends..I apologize for my absence lately!!  I was on vacation, and then returned home to a rainy gloomy New York.  Coupled with that I have been less than thrilled with the Spring styles that are out there.  I'm more of a neutral kind of girl, and all of the color blocking is a bit overwhelming for me.  I am kind of embarrassed to admit this because I do LOVE color...but since moving to NYC just don't feel comfortable with the idea of wearing a lot of it.  Finally today I came across these pics, which illustrate the look I have been imagining for spring.  I think this little bit of inspiration has put me back on track!
